The Poppy Fields
by Nikki Erlick
emotional
hopeful
reflective
sad
slow-paced
The Poppy Fields is a thought provoking, interesting read. Nikki Erlich writes with such beauty and elegance. I enjoy how her books feel like multiple stories that are woven together to form one.
This book follows a small group of strangers who meet by accident. Each have a deeply personal reason to get to the famed therapy center called The Poppy Fields.
Grief and how to live with grief is a main focus of this book. Many characters share profound insight on what grief is to them. It’s an emotional yet evenly paced read. The big reveal seemed somewhat anticlimactic but that didn’t take away from the intensity of the book itself.
Thank you, NetGalley, for this ARC in return for my honest review.
