Having read the original that this book is based on, I did enjoy the technological updates. However, I was disappointed to find that the ghostly aspects were sort of disregarded by the end. The original is incredibly vague while this one tries to wrap everything up nicely, which would have worked for me if I hadn't read the original not too long ago.
