Red Sky at Sunrise: Cider with Rosie; As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning; A Moment of War by Keith Bowen, Leonard Rosoman, John Ward, Laurie Lee

4.0

n 1934 Laurie Lee set out by foot from his sleepy English village with little more than a violin, a blanket and the ability to say “may I have a glass of water?” in Spanish. He ending up walking right across Spain- basically, absolute goals.
I can’t believe I never read this book before- every single sentence is perfect 👌🏼 The language is lush & evocative, the journey is not only through a place but through a time... just beautiful.
