This book brought me out if my reading slump. There were times I wasnt in love with the book. There were times when I had to walk away. But in the end, I think I became obsessed. With the author at least. The book has so many layers it forces me to read it slower like my literary fiction books instead of speed through like I tend to do with mystery/horror. Once I realized all the gems, and juicy psychological and sociological tidbits, I was more than happy to take the slower ride. Then, boom! I'm scared out of my wits and turning pages so fast my fingers burned. And then another corner is turned and I find myself crying, reflecting; feeling for the characters. This is a book that defies genres. And I LOVE IT. I think the only thing I appreciate more is the love story about siblings. Relatable to anyone with siblings, (regardless of how many), this story really speaks to the bonds and the strains that occur in siblings relationships.
I Pre-ordered this book and it did not disappoint. Can't wait to see what comes next from the twisted mind of Neena Viel.
