Emma in the Night
by Wendy Walker
If you Like edge of your seat, didn’t see that coming, stories then Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker will not disappoint. The tale of sisters Emma and Cass who disappear one night and three years later only Cass returns. What happened to Emma is a convoluted story in which the players are narcissists, sociopaths, and predators. Cass is a fascinating character, as is her mother, Mrs. Martin. This is a great layered story, but it’s riveting because as Cass says, “We believe what we want to believe.” And this story, these sisters, and this family, is sometimes quite unbelievable. But thrilling.
