This book had been in my unread shelf for years, when I picked it up because I thought it’d be a quick read. However, it was a bit of a trudge to get through. I can appreciate a woman writing fiction based on her own experiences, back when women weren’t really allowed to be authors, but the other Brontë sisters were more engaging, imo.
