Initially this story reminded me of an early Marian Keyes novel, but quickly I realised that it was actually an emotional story about friendship and life changes and making peace with your messy life and what are you going to do about it?

There was drama but there was also great maturity from the characters so it played out how you’d always hope the tough situations to go in real life with the benefit of hindsight when you need it. There were so many parts I wanted to highlight, because 1) they were astute observations or 2) they were funny and quiet as hell.

I loved it
