Well, that was no First Law. GrimDark has found his GrimLark. This is like Suicide Squad but grittier, grimmer, and even more irreverent. Suicide Squad wrapped in Discworld/Hitchhiker’s Guide humour with gore. Half of the main cast of characters were irritating at the start, and then they grow on you. There’s maybe 2 main twists to the tale, but I reckon avid readers will be able to guess. There’s 1 surprise that left me gutted! And I surprised myself with how strong my reaction was.
Overall, I enjoyed it, but I don’t think it will be one of those that I reread.
