One of the worst parts of reading Lovecraft is having to sit down and actually get through Lovecraft, so it was a relief that the BBC-produced audiobook I listened to was mercifully abridged. With tighter pacing it is much easier to appreciate the genuinely eerie story.
Graphic: Animal death, Body horror, Death
Moderate: Gore
