Love, love, love! Stephanie Archer is a master at witty banter, character chemistry, and creative, hilarious, but believable scenarios. There is a doily museum is this book. A museum of doilies. It's a major moment. Creative, hilarious, believable.
I love the female main character, Liv, and love her academic journey shared here in the book and weaved through her personal journey. I know the swoony hero is supposed to be the focus (and he certainly is), but Liv shines so bright, I just love it. I especially love that her personal journey of opening up and relying on others/allowing herself to love and be loved doesn't hinge on being saved or a male main character doing something for her that she can't do herself. The definition of strong, independent woman, and also loved, equal partnership.
The Queens Cove series as a whole does an excellent job of dropping in other brothers/girlfriends/wives/parents making the whole series so well connected and engaging - we didn't lose characters along the 4 books journey, the books are built around the relationships of all of them and I love that. An excellent series for swoony rom-coms lovers.
This review is based off of an ARC received from the author, and is my true and honest opinion and thoughts.
