Inspiring story of the beginnings of women's entrance into the medical profession. While fictional, this story of Nora Beadle has roots in the reality of medicine practiced in the 19th century. The characters are well drawn and compelling, the story is believable and has enough textural evidence to evoke the appropriate time. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
