Crimson Promises by Jocelyn Bleu

5.0

✨This book left me shook at the end.✨

Aurora is a normal college girl trying to find her way in the world. The angel assigned to protect her js in over his head. Little does she know she could be the answer to the fate of Heaven and Hell.

Things I loved|

1 - The character development was wonderful. You start out with both MCs trying to figure out what they mean to each other and where they stand. They developed so well over the course of the book, I wasn’t sure I was a fan of Aurora in the beginning. But with her development, she became one bad ass chick! Bennet, the main MC, truly learns about himself and in the end what’s important, a sort of redemption arc.

2 - The world building. Its mythology of Heaven and Hell, but with a twist. I love how Jocelyn was able to take a story most of us are familiar with and made it new and exciting. I loved the lore written and how the changes impact the story, even if some things stayed true to the original myths.

3 - There’s lots of attraction, sexually tense moments that are delicious. It’s written very well and left me bitting my lip. There is some graphic sex scenes, but only a few and they were well placed in the story, nothing felt forced.

My only complaint was a few grammar issues and one scene where there was a small inconsistency.

Overall this book is top notch and I absolutely CANNOT wait for the next installment
