Hate Sober by T.L. Smith
5.0
The wait for this nearly killed me, although it certainly wasn’t long. It just felt that way because I NEEDED to know what was going to happen with Gunner and Everly.
The answer to that question is EVERYTHING.
Smith really put these characters through a mess of things and force them to confront themselves and each other and a lot of other people in their lives.
Family ties were tested, and broken, but also some were salved.
Gunner had to finally show us exactly who he was, the monster or the man.
Everly had to stand up and take some charge of her life.
It was beautiful. It was broken. It was healing. It was theirs.
Recommendation: go ahead and get comfy and binge this duet.
