The Irish Getaway by Siobhan Davis

3.0

The Irish Getaway by Siobhan Davis is book 3.5 of the Kennedy Boys series and it ideally should be read after the first three books of the series; Finding Kyler, Losing Kyler and Keeping Kyler.

Yet again, Siobhan has created another addictive story that had me experiencing so many emotions as I read about Faye, Kyler and their families growing closer and showing their love for each other. The Irish Getaway was brilliant and I loved it from start to finish. Plenty of ‘Kennedy drama’ and laugh out loud moments. Throw into the mix moments that have you smiling, wanting to turn on the fan to cool down or trying to hold back the tears, and you have the perfect combination for a story that will remain with you for days after. There wasn’t one thing that I didn’t love about this book and I’m so glad that Siobhan has written it. Thank you, Siobhan!

You can see that Faye and Kyler have grown as a couple and that their relationship is going from strength to strength. I think it was important for the couple to take this journey and having their families join them made it even more special. Faye gets to spend time with the new people in her life and this is a great gift for her after everything she’s gone through. The descriptions of Ireland that Siobhan uses are so visual and it felt like I was there. Despite living the UK, I’ve not yet visited Ireland but I want to even more now and when I do finally visit, I’ll hopefully get to see some of the amazing places Siobhan describes. I loved seeing Faye back on her ‘home turf’ and with her two best friends who she’s clearly still very close to even though she now has a life in the US. All of Kyler’s brothers join him in Ireland and Siobhan shows perfectly what each of their roles are within the family. All the brothers are special and the women they’ll eventually fall in love with are very lucky.
