poston has the most UNIQUE plots and they're always so well executed. it was so much fun to read this, i had to force myself to stop. the main character is so nosy. the banter and jokes are so funny and well written. the book itself feels very self aware, poking fun at the genre, the plot, the readers. it doesn't quite break the fourth wall, but it does engage with the reader in a way that is very meta. thinking through it, who wouldn't act like the main character of this book if you were also thrown into the world of your favorite novels? it's such a cute and cozy story. i can't wait to reread it.
