I tried, in the words of Marcel Duchamp, to "force myself to contradict myself in order to avoid conforming to my own taste.” I really tried to avoid giving this five stars because I think Keller gets an easy pass from me sometimes. But the book is biblically and philosophically sound, emotionally profound, and always gospel-centered.

I found the opening chapter presenting the different cultures of suffering to be particularly illuminating.
