It reads like a fanfic. I couldn’t really connect to the characters, the scenes moved too fast, everything felt like I was reading something I would’ve written when I was 16. I’m not really sure how to explain it beyond that, there wasn’t anything inherently wrong with the book… it just read as fan fiction.
