I did enjoy this book, I think it depicted grief very well. However at times I found the writing style hard to get on board with, particularly as it jumped from past to present but despite this, the story line was very honest and raw - especially when finding out at the end of the book that the author dealt with something similar herself.

Hannah and Ruth’s bond is unbreakable, truly. But I also found Ruth to get borderline obsessive over her sister at times that it became a bit insufferable. I suppose she idolised her a lot which was nice too. I did really enjoy the brief plot of Ruth and Rowan, and the development of Ruth’s friendships with Paloma, Sal and Leila when she finally let them in.

I’m between giving the book a 3/5 or a 4/5, I wanted to love it as much as the other reviews suggested but I couldn’t get on board that much.
