as a mr rochester hater (like i do not understand how people read jane eyre and want jane to be with him?? he sucks??) i am very glad this book exists. i also like that it has such a distinctive style and doesn’t try to mimic charlotte brontë.
my actual reading experience of the book was not my favourite but looking back on it and reading up on it there’s so much to be taken from this and so much that was done so well. so maybe ignore my rating of this one
i’ve also read a few reviews where people complain that rhys suggests the only reason antoinette went mad is because her husband didn’t love her and to them i would like to ask… did u actually read the book
anyway excited to read and think more about this one!!
