While I love all the Suns couples I think Shannon and Cam are my favorite! This book has it all - hockey (of course!), surprise pregnancy after a one night stand, redemption, change and a HEA.

Shannon meets an AHL player at Mahoney’s while celebrating her end of semester exams. Being buzzed she allows him to drive her home and asks him to stay. They don’t exchange any information, including names - the only thing she remembers is his blonde hair and a scar on his cheek.

Fast forward 2 months when she finds out she’s pregnant - and the guy she is pretty sure was her hook up tells her he has no clue who she is and they never hooked up! But he does give her a card with his attorney’s information and tells her to call him.

With her parents gone and her brother deployed she has no family other than her Nanna in Tampa - where she moves after Kayleigh is born. For 5 years she works raising her daughter with her Nanna’s help while starting her own gym. Her ties to the Suns come through her “Pre-Dawn” group of players who use her facility for their off season workouts.

Through them she meets Cam - NHL’s bad boy who is finally convinced he needs to clean up his act. His first act - joining the “Pre-Dawn” group where he sees Shannon and decides he wants to get to know her better.

As they grow closer Shannon realizes Cam is Kayleigh’s father but has no idea how to bring up the subject after their last meeting where she tried to tell him! What will she do? How will he react? Has he really changed from his bad boy ways? What will this do to Kayleigh and her fragile 5 year old heart if he doesn’t want to be her daddy? But really with Kayleigh and Nanna, along with Cam’s sister on Team Cam - does Shannon and her heart really stand a chance against true love?
