I don't typically enjoy romantic books but this one here had me feeling like I just hadn't met the right one yet 😋. Typically I find this genre quite cliche and predictable, and whilst there were elements of the typical tropes, I love how the Tia Williams interwined themes/topics I haven't seen in this genre before (maternal relationships, blackness in publishing & entertainment industry, invisible disabilities, self harm and self medication).
Usually I can write and critique paragraphs on books I feel miss the mark but this book - delizioso, complements to chef. This steamy yet healing tale of relationship rekindled over the space of week in June 🔥🔥🔥 fire.
