Devoted by Dean Koontz
4.0

Normally Koontz’s dog-centred-or-related novels are unbearable. However, DEVOTED broke that rule mostly because it wasn’t just about a dog; it featured a wide cast of interesting characters as well.

I haven’t read too much of him, but I’d say that it is possibly one of the darkest novels Koontz has written so far. DEVOTED gives hope that he may be getting better (I doubt it, though).

For those wanting a review: DEVOTED is not a horror novel (don’t let anybody tell you any different), but it IS a thrill-ride of a sci-fi/secret-conspiracy novel that has a side of cannibalism in it (the “horror” side of it, I think).
