I feel like I'm being generous by giving this book two stars. The idea was there. Some elements should have had better execution. Everything was half-baked. I could only feel the bully part at the beginning of the story. Out of nowhere, Nixon wanted to "protect" Trace even before he knew her real identity.
Suddenly the author wrote about the mafia. And it didn't make sense to me. How could a twenty years old boy become a boss? WTH. A lot of things made me cringe in this book.
The writing was bad. The flow also messed up. A lot of things happened at one time. And did the author want to make a love triangle with Nixon and Chase? Again, out of nowhere.
