The Wish
by Nicholas Sparks
A story of present and past. Truthfully, I found the story of the present a bit boring. I would do a quick read/skim over the parts of Maggie's illness and gallery. The part I found captivating was when she would reminisce about Bryce and her teenage life. I loved the teen love story, the nostalgia it evoked, and the tenderness of first love. REconnecting in the end and bringing the past and present storyline together did bring a tear to my eye but I would have been just as happy if the teenage POV and love story had been the only timeline of the book.
