The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
5.0
Best way I can describe The Shadow of the Wind:
- Enchanting
- Haunting
- Thrilling
- Beautiful
This was a wonderful read! I very much enjoyed the pre-war and post-war ear the story was set in, and how the lives of each and every single character felt so fleshed out and memorable.
And holy smokes, just when I thought I had the story figured out - BAM- plot twist that I didn't see coming!
I'll admit, it's a bit slow for the first quarter of the book, but after that, it goes by very quickly.
