this book really didn’t do it for me. i respect it for what it is, but there really wasn’t much about the plot that i found particularly riveting. i did enjoy how hester was written and how many consider her "one of literature’s first feminists," but i just really didn’t connect with the story. not something i’ll reach for again i don’t think.
