After Hours on Milagro Street by Angelina M. Lopez
1.0

After Hours on Milagro Street had potential, but the story left me more frustrated than entertained. The female lead, Alex, was almost impossible to root for—her abrasive, insufferable attitude made it hard to connect with her struggles or cheer for her success. While the premise of saving a family bar with a touch of enemies-to-lovers romance was intriguing, the tension between Alex and Jeremiah felt more exhausting than engaging. The Torres family dynamic had moments of charm, but they weren’t enough to balance the overall annoyance I felt while reading.
