This was a near perfect read. It was also something I wasn't ever expecting.
The reason Our Wives Under The Sea was highly put on my tbr was mainly because of the sapphic horror elements. But I ended up loving this book for its storyline about grief and its tole it takes on us, even when the person is still alive.
I have so many questions still unanswered after reading this. Like what was in the notebook that Leah left for Miri? What was the creature? What happened to Matteo? ect, ect, ect.
Overall, I'm pitting this on my will read again list. I love that the author was inspired by The Shipping News by Annie Proulx. I knew this was going to be a highly rated book when I saw that Florence Welch had also recommended this. She has the best taste for werid girl books.
