The Codebreaker's Secret by Sara Ackerman
adventurous
hopeful
mysterious
medium-paced
- Loveable characters? Yes
3.5
I definitely feel this was more of a slow-burn romance with historical fiction rather than historical fiction with a little romance, but I loved the storytelling. The author kept my interest when jumping between timelines, the characters were enjoyable, and it was *just* enough mystery.
Nothing stood out enough to be more stars but it was a nice read overall, and I like Sara Ackerman's writing style - well-researched and delightfully descriptive without slowing down the story.
