This book is written and geared towards the everyday, middle of the epack runner.
I follow the author on Instagram and after a few years of following her I finally caved in a bought the book. It is easy to read and informative. HOWEVER, I find that since I do follow her on IG, am on her mailing list, and occasionally read her blogs... There wasn't anything NEW for me. That being said- I am pretty engaged in her other platforms.
For someone that is brand new to running and brand new to her (Amanda Brooks) I do find this to be a really informative book with a lot of information all in one place. It definitely has the potential to take the confused, always injured runner to find clarity in their routine and change the way they think about their running & running plan.
It's a light read, broken up with her personality and humor to liven the science, and touches on topics that all runners need to know.
