Seriously better than you'd expect. I have some pacing issues here and there, and it could be said the characterizations veer too far away from the originals. But the characterizations feel like necessary updates and were smart choices. At the same time, I can't really say I felt like the Flintstones and Rubbles were FAMILIES. They kind of came off as just being "a group of people who happened to live together." I think that's the primary missing ingredient from elevating this to something even greater. But what is here is great.
