VERITY was my first exposure to the world of Colleen Hoover. I was told from the beginning that it is very different from her other works, which actually makes me sad because I want more like it.
This book was a delight to read from the very beginning. When a book starts in such a vivid way, it better live up to the adventure and thrill of the first chapter. And this one definitely did. I was constantly having to remind myself that I need to put the book down and actually live my daily life.
While I do believe that the overall plot was predictable, I only think that is because I tend to read a lot of thrillers and have read books that I believe were the inspiration for the plot of this one.
One warning to potential readers: there are some very disturbing aspects of this book and could potentially be triggering, especially to people with children.
