Kindling - Prequel to Rage of the Immortals by Kanika Singhal

4.0

Kindling is the prequel to the book Rage of The Immortals. This book is set in a fantasy world and the story revolves around two brothers: Atom and Cifer and their love for the same woman, Ivprith. In the end, Cifer and Ivprith decide to stay together. Atom agrees to it and lives peacefully.

The other main characters are Nightmare, a cat who stays with Atom. They all are emotions but are transformed as human beings who are indulged in protecting the earth. Somehow, a devil enters to destroy the Earth. Will they be able to protect everyone? Will they be able to bring restfulness?

The plot is very unique, I have never really read anything like this before, and I quite enjoyed it. Moreover, the story is fast-paced which I always look out for in all books. Though the story is represented in the form of emotions, everything is relatable to us human beings. The thing I didn’t like about this book was the narration, some parts were very confusing. Overall, the book is worth reading once, especially who enjoy mythical fantasies.
