Adored this and have found a new author to follow.
Absolutely lovely, quirky and brilliant characters making up a wonderful found family. A heroine who is soft and quiet while strong and brave. Two witches who are hilarious (the dust wife and the god mother). A loyal bone dog and a chicken possessed by a demon. And a sweet and strong hero. And a nice sliver of a love story.
Overall the book is a feminist fairytale about female rage at the injustices placed on women and girls, and the fight to right those wrong. It also somehow manages to be dark and laugh out loud funny.
