Record of a Spaceborn Few
by Becky Chambers
Have I mentioned that I love Becky Chambers's novels? Because I really, really do.
This book, even more than the others in the series, deals mostly with the mundane lives of its characters. But it is this mundanity that allows readers to explore their world and imagine a radical alternative to our contemporary world.
In the process, it's impossible - for me at least - to not start caring deeply about these characters and their lives and decisions and I know I'll be thinking about them and the Fleet for a long time.
