The survival story of two individuals is told back and forth between chapters. One guy is a very experienced wilderness guide, who gets a concussion, lost, and rescues himself. The other is a guy who likes to camp, doesn't take the woods seriously enough, gets lost, and does all the right things to survive against all odds until rescue arrives. I'm on the fence about how the stories were back and forth, sometimes annoying, other times nice to see the differences. Great book about how survival is luck, knowledge, will power, and fate all rolled into one experience.
