Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
4.0
I read Hush, Hush back in 2009 as a teenager, and it left a lasting impression on me—I gave it a solid 4/5. The story follows Nora, a high school student who becomes entangled with the mysterious Patch, a fallen angel with a dark past and noticeable scars. There is chemistry and the tension between them kept me glued to the pages, constantly guessing his true intentions.
What I appreciated about Nora’s character was her journey of self-discovery, particularly as she navigates her feelings for Patch amid the chaos surrounding her. Her struggles make her relatable, adding a layer of depth to her character and highlight her growth throughout the story.
The mix of romance and supernatural elements created an engaging read that kept me invested, even when some plot twists felt predictable. The emotional stakes were high, and I found myself rooting for Nora as she faced the challenges of her tumultuous relationship with Patch.
