5.0

The easiest five stars I’ve ever given. Kuang addresses racism, colonialism, white supremacy, economic structures of power, the opium wars and many other civil rights issues throughout the 19th century that we still face right now. I’m honestly at a loss of what to say to encourage you to read this book, but please just do. The amount of research and care put into this book is impeccable. Babel is redefining its genre. It is a modern classic from its very core. Extraordinary. A masterpiece.
