ππ° ππ¦π’π is the second book in the ππ°πΊπ΄ π°π§ ππ°πΆπ΅π© ππ©π’π±π¦π series and picks up where book one left off. Considering book one ends on a cliff hanger, I was eager to jump in and was immediately pulled back into Hunterβs story. Minor spoiler alert (maybe?), this one also ends with a cliff hanger.
ππ° ππ¦π’π got pretty brutal emotionally, both in the past as Hunter tries to move on by fleeing to London after her traumatic miscarriage, and in the present as she finally deals with the consequences of Greedy learning the truth behind her quick department back then. But the groveling (on both sides) and strides made back to each other were worth the pain. For those like me who love the spice, Abby Millsaps poured gasoline on this one. While itβs by no means the spiciest book Iβve ever read, itβs a big jump in comparison to the first book. All that to say, have a box of tissues nearby to soak up the tears and a fan to cool you off l while reading this.
I was hesitant to welcome Kabir into the mix, but I think that stems from my love for Greedy. However, after the way Kabir was there for Hunter in the past and seeing how he still cares for her so much now, he quickly won me over. Plus, he becomes a guiding force within the group. His ability to read people so well only helps to begin the mending of wounds between Hunter and her guys. I havenβt forgotten Levi, while I do consider myself a Greedy girl, I adore Levi and he was just as lovable in this book.
Thank you to Valentine PR and Abby Millsaps for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest review. As always, my thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
