This book is terrible and I couldn’t wait for it to be over.
If I have to think about how many times the author said “her/their/his brows furrowed” they’ve probably used that phrase too many times. Also, too many uses of the word beat - he paused for a beat, she was quiet for a beat, it was a beat until… please, somebody get this person a thesaurus.
Felt like it was written by a high schooler from the tacky descriptions of the characters, the terrible pacing, and the desperate attempt at wokeness. And this is coming from a woke lesbo - too much.
Still, giving it two stars because I liked the idea of lesbian girlies eating trash men. A shame it didn’t meet my expectations but someone else might like it.
