#0.5 Flakes: ★★★✮☆ | 3.5 stars
This was a super cute little prequel about Colin, an interior designer, and Ryder, a contractor who have been flirting/fighting with each other for 3 years until they find themselves snowed in on a job site on New Years Eve and all their feelings come to light.
This feels a little instalove-y, but it's also not. I think the fact that these two have been working together for so long makes it okay. And the epilogue was just adorable.
Three Thoughts:
1. "Hunter-Gatherer Glam" should never be a thing.
2. I loved how much Ryder believed in Colin's abilities. And, he was willing to do whatever he could to support Colin's career.
3. Secret pining. They are both so enamored with the other, but could never get out of their own way to see it.
I wouldn't say this is required reading for the series, but It is nice to get a little backstory on a couple that appears from time to time. And, if you're looking for a quick sweet, but steamy read this one was great.
content warnings: sex (on page), loss of a loved one (in the past)
