We’re not talking just about a 3rd act break up, but also a 1st act break up. Like this couple can’t get it together long enough not to run. But between all the drama there is a really great story about finding love again after a profound loss.

Like with all of the Sadie Kincaid books I’ve read, this book was incredibly well written. The characters are fully formed and infuriating at times. Mia is running from an abusive (soon to be)ex-husband and Lorenzo doesn’t believe he deserves love after his wife dies of cancer.

Everytime I thought this story was wrapping up there was another twist and turn. Something pivotal would happen and I’d look down at my Kindle and only be 35% or 60% in. At one point I was like, what more can happen in this book?! And Then more stuff happened and my jaw literally dropped to the floor. These torturous twists and turns(for the characters) are heart breaking for the reader. The Moretti family appears to keep expanding, either through marriage or a slew of half siblings coming from the woodwork.
