It was interesting to see the source material for the beloved Disney animated feature, but the book itself is a bit lackluster and hasn't aged that well. The basic story of Mowgli is there, but Disney definitely took some liberties by adding characters, taking out some of the killing and brutal laws of the jungle.
The other stories in the book are a bit dull and uninteresting in my opinion.
I'm definitely with Orwell on this one, Kipling is for sure a staunch British Imperialist and it shows in his writing.
