The Dos and Donuts of Love was so sweet (pun intended)! Admittedly, it took me a minute to get into the book, but once I got into the thick of it, I was hooked. Jaigirdar truly crafted a wonderful story with such a unique premise—the competition plot was incredibly engaging—especially since we got to read from Shireen's perspective and also see how different it was portrayed on screen at times. It made for an exciting conflict! Each chapter is peppered with hilarious dessert puns that create a fun, lighthearted, and cohesive atmosphere for the novel. I didn't love how Shireen always jumped to conclusions about certain things, but overall, she was a wonderful character and I felt extremely satisfied and happy for her at the lovely ending of the story. Characters like Padma (Shireen's kind, iconic mentor) and Fatima (Shireen's real-AF best friend) also really shine in this book, especially since Shireen feels so fondly about both of them too. I wasn't expecting it, but the second-chance romance was executed super well. I really did loved it! Grab a yummy dessert and give this book a read!
