To Love a Highland Rogue by Collette Cameron

5.0

*I received a copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

I was hooked from the start when it showed them as kids. I normally don't like books where one is pretending to be someone else, but I loved this one because it didn't drag on. When they first see each other there's spark and I didn't know how it was going to play out. I loved how she found out who he really was and that she had a different reaction than I expected. I loved the ending a lot!

Mayra has a very good reason for wanting to end their betrothal. She craved a bit of freedom and seemed so shy, but she really wasn't. I loved when she started looking for a way to break the betrothal off. She understood things more than people gave her credit for.

Logan feared ending up married to a woman like his father had. I loved that his plan didn't quite go the way he wanted. He learned things about his family and got a better understanding of her and her family. I also loved him as a child and how he acted during those events.
