The Silver Witch by Paula Brackston
4.0

Solid 3.5
The characters are likeable. The story moves at a nice pace. The descriptive language is lovely. Paula Brackston it seems has found a theme; set in the Welsh countryside an odd girl/woman finds magic and with the help of a knowledgeable old witch defeats the evil magic trying to harm her or a loved one. I've only read three books by her but it seems these three all fit the above synopsis. So if you've read a Brackston book and enjoyed it you won't be let down. It's not as good as [b:The Witch's Daughter|8694522|The Witch's Daughter (The Witch's Daughter, #1)|Paula Brackston|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1441786996s/8694522.jpg|13567100] but still enjoyable.
