I need to learn how to give up a book (or series) when I honestly can’t stand it. But here I am, too far into the series to give up now.
The author needs to learn how to get to the point. We don’t need 50 pages about Grace’s love for pop tarts or 100 pages about Hudson’s Versace underwear. You could cut out 300 pages of this book and still have way too many pointless details - we’re not dealing with literary art here. Also, the constant ~quirky cool girl~ pop references that continue from the other books need. to. stop. They are cringey and age the book in a way that guarantee Grace’s interests as irrelevant in five years. The continuity errors are just the icing on the top.
