Hopeless by Elsie Silver

I felt like this was a wonderful way to wrap up the series overall! I wasn’t the biggest fan of the whole premise behind the fake engagement and the impulsivity behind it, but it wasn’t enough to ruin the story for me. I definitely get the line of thought for the decision, but it just seemed a bit out there still.

I liked how Beau’s PTSD was explored, explained, and that it wasn’t just swept under the rug. I appreciated that such a heavy and important topic was put at the forefront of the narrative, and it was lovely seeing Bailey help him work through it all.

Bailey was an incredibly strong woman, and it was fun watching her go toe to toe with her soldier boy. They complimented each other so well, and it was so satisfying watching them find each other and to see their bond grow.

One steamy scene in particular was a bit cringey for me (IYKYN), but as a whole, I think they were handled well!

It’s so sad to see this series come to an end, but I was elated to see each member of the Eaton clan meet their matches.
