 I really love Becky Chambers. I decided to try this novella before I read the third Wayfarer book because I wanted to see what her other writing was like. Luckily I found it as enjoyable as her other books. It's quite different from the Wayfarer series in terms of story but it's still hopeful, heartwarming sci-fi. The world building is typically brilliant and despite spending less than 150 pages with the characters I was really invested.
