This was definitely my favorite of the series so far. I'd probably even give it 4.5 stars. Overall, this was a solid and dark read - which is right up my alley. The series was slow to start for me, it took me a while to really get into the story and the characters. I had some trouble connecting with Aiden, but I had to trust in my book bestie's recommendations and don't regret it a bit. Theses characters are so over the top, but I really did grow attached to them by the end of it all.
We saw the most growth and development of Aiden and Elsa's relationship in this final book. Once I was really committed to the series, the plot definitely kept me on my toes and the side characters are already calling my name. I can't wait to read their stories! I have a feeling I'm gonna get pulled down a rabbit hole of this universe pretty quickly.
